Mehdi, Vice President Technical, has received his Ph.D. in civil engineering, focuses on structural analysis and the behaviour of high strength concrete from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada 1999. He is a registered engineer with professional engineers of Ontario since 1999, and a member of Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI). Mehdi has extensive knowledge and experience in the design of steel and concrete structures, and production of precast concrete elements. His areas of expertise cover static and dynamic analysis of all types of steel and concrete structures, bridges, tunnel lining, earthquake analysis, computer application in structures, finite element analysis, ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), steel (Fatigue) and composite applications including fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP), bridge management, and testing (material and structural). He has the expertise to use linear and non-linear finite element method for static and dynamic analysis of high rise buildings, prestressed and non-prestressed concrete bridges, tunnel linings, analysis and design of precast concrete tower for wind turbines, foundations, shell structures and other structures exposed to wind, seismic, blast and dynamic loads. He has several technical publications in the area of high strength concrete and stress analysis around tunnel lining.
